For Couples


Clinicians at the practice help couples, of all types, recognize and resolve conflicts and improve relationships.  They serve as a neutral mediator to help make sense of what is going on and the perceived issues of both involved. Clinicians work to provide equal time, attention and understanding.  Clinicians work to provide a safe environment and encourages honesty, accountability, respect and kindness. The goal is to help couples address concerns that may cause difficulties or conflict and gain techniques and tools to help rebuild their relationship.  Through counseling, couples can strengthen communication skills, get help managing conflict and increase sense of emotional connectedness.  It is understood that at times, couples decide to go their separate ways. Clinicians work to explore how such decisions can affect the individuals involved, including children and future generations.  If interested, clinicians can integrate a faith-based approach to therapy. All clinicians have a solution-focused approach with couples counseling therefore the sessions can be emotionally intense. Clinicians will help identify shared morals, values and goals.  Clinicians aim for couples to feel a sense of relief and healing in a short amount of time.
