COUNSELING for OLDER ADULTS
As older adults enter a new phase of life, many experience stressors related to the transition into retirement, financial struggles, physical and mental effects of aging, discrimination due to aging, grieving over loved ones passing on and facing their own mortality. Counseling can help older adults ease the transition by identify and manage these feelings, find fulfillment and joy and gain meaningful support systems.
Clinicians at the practice provide individual therapy for older adults as well as family therapy. If interested, clinicians can integrate a faith-based approach to therapy. Family therapy can help assist the older adult in communicating both needs and feelings and can helpful for family members or caretakers who are struggling as well.
